Erected on the site of the city\u2019s first hotel\/tavern known as the Northampton ca: 1810. The new and renamed Americus opened in 1927 attracting US Presidents, dignitaries, and visitors from across the country.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Ours was part of a complete and total top-down restoration of the historical property<\/strong>\u201d, states Jeremy Bowman, President, US Pipelining.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-151 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uspipelining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/1929_-_Americus_Hotel_-_Allentown_PA-190x300.jpg\" alt=\"Americus Hotel c. 1929\" width=\"190\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur component included the <strong>cured-in-place pipe lining<\/strong> and <strong>restoration of the plumbing and sanitary system<\/strong> servicing the Americus. Due to the elaborate woodworkings, murals, and plaster walls and ceilings, replacing the piping would have been extremely expensive and invasive. Less costly and non-invasive restoration methods such as cured-in-place pipe, allowed us to leave the floors, walls, and ceilings untouched and intact,\u201d said Bowman.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uspipelining.com\/pipe-lining\/new-cipp-pipelining\/\">Cured-In-Place Pipe technology (CIPP)<\/a> is one of several no-dig trenchless rehabilitation methods used to noninvasively repair existing pipelines. CIPP is a joint-less, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe with the capability to structurally rehabilitate pipes ranging in diameter from 4&#8243;\u2013120&#8243;. With a design life of 50 years, CIPP is one of the most widely used rehabilitation methods and has <strong>application in water, sewer, gas, and chemical pipelines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-154 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uspipelining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/CIPP-BIG-10FT-PIPE-BEFOR-AFTER.png\" alt=\"CIPP before and after\" width=\"250\" height=\"231\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cCured-In-Place pipe lining has become a widely used and accepted technology globally as a <strong>low-cost, non-invasive alternative to traditional dig and replace methods<\/strong>, \u201csaid Bowman. \u201cIndustry can either close down operations, interrupt traffic flow, excavate\/open walls and ceilings to replace failing infrastructure, or option for a non-invasive rehabilitation process which rehabilitates the failed pipe from the inside out without the need for opening walls or excavation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since entering the pipe rehabilitation industry 25 years ago, US Pipelining has gained recognition for their ability to offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uspipelining.com\/\">highly specialized rehabilitation solutions<\/a> to a vast array of clients including global fortune 500 companies, high-rise residential and commercial buildings, and government agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUS Pipelining is one of a <strong>handful of companies globally<\/strong> who provide CIPP and other noninvasive restoration technologies for pipes ranging in diameter from 4 inches to 120 inches,\u201d states Bowman. \u201cThere are very few conditions we have not seen or reconciled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An emerging leader in Cured-In-Place-Pipe lining (CIPP), and trenchless lining solutions, US Pipelining, LLC., has completed a landmark restoration project at the historic Americus Hotel.
