US Pipelining, LLC<\/a>., an emerging leader in non-invasive, \u201cno-dig\u201d infrastructure technologies, announced the completion of a major resort project. The recent project at Ocean Resort Casino (ORC)<\/b><\/a>,<\/b> one of the premier resort properties in North America, included the epoxy coating of almost three miles of stainless steel piping servicing the massive pool and spa systems at ORC. The ORC project is believed to be the largest restoration project to of its kind to be completed applying epoxy materials and trenchless pipe rehabilitation technologies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were initially contacted by Ocean Resort<\/a><\/strong> more than a year ago\u201d, said Jeremy Bowman, field project manager for U.S. Pipelining, LLC<\/a>. \u201cThe former property, Revel Casino, had been closed for several years and the new ownership was interested in finding options to bring the elaborate pool and spa system back on-line, and operating at peak performance,\u201d added Bowman. \u201cDue to the intricacies of the system, we collaborated with Stag Technologies, a division of Houston based Vortex Companies who specialize in producing epoxies for water and sewer infrastructure renewal. We selected Stag\u2019s DC1000E 100% solids epoxy material for the Ocean project.\u201d<\/p>\n

U.S. Pipelining <\/a>restored nearly three miles of pipe within the Ocean Resort Casino<\/b><\/a> using the Brushed-In-Place Pipe method. An additional 3,000 feet of piping was also mechanically replaced. The massive project took four months to complete, using seven installation crews working virtually non-stop, in order to finish in time for the resort\u2019s scheduled grand opening in July 2018.<\/p>\n

Opened in 2012 as the Revel Casino<\/b><\/a> at a cost of nearly $2.5 billion dollars, the newly transformed Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City<\/b><\/a> is one of the most expensive and lavish resorts in the country. A hallmark of the resort is the sprawling health and relaxation complex and pool facilities. While there are separate whirlpool baths and steam rooms for each gender, men and women can mingle in the 32,000 square foot spa and co-ed bathhouse with heated mineral pools, Turkish baths, salt grotto, and vast pool facilities.<\/p>\n
